God Never Leaves You Alone!

God never leaves you alone!

Are you facing a strong temptation? Interpersonal conflicts? Difficult circumstances? In the Bible the apostle Paul uses the analogy of armor and warfare to teach about the equipment that’s essential for stan
ding against temptation and spiritual attack.

First, he encourages you to put on the belt of truth. Satan is the father of lies. He’s constantly trying to deceive and trap you. In contrast, all of your armor is held together by truth, which comes from the Father of Truth.

Next, you need to put on the body armor of God’s righteousness. Though there are many levels of meaning to this phrase, the primary one is that you’re forgiven and accepted through faith in Jesus Christ alone. You’re not protected by your own righteousness; you need the righteousness of God.

Next, you’re called to put on the shoes of peace and carry this Good News to people everywhere.

You’re also given a shield of faith to protect you against Satan’s accusations and persecutions. Prayer leads to faith. It keeps your vision clear when circumstances cloud your way.

The helmet of salvation is next on Paul’s list. In addition to protecting the wearer, the helmet identified a soldier’s allegiance. You belong to the company of Christ.

Finally, you’re armed with the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God. The sword is your only offensive weapon.

God never leaves his men behind in battle. Read Paul’s warfare prayer from the book of Ephesians 6:10-18 for help.

Historical day in Mongolia

City Wide Evangelism in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
September 26, 2012
City Wide Evangelism in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia: A Remarkable Success with 103 New Converts and 246 Bible seekers who completed the course of “Voice of Prophecy Correspondence School”

In light of the close celebration of the 20 years Adventism in Mongolia come 2013, the Northern Asia-Pacific Division, in coordination with Mongolia Mission Field, held a week-long evangelism at Ulaanbaatar.

On September 15-19, 2012, different meetings took place at the nine churches located nearby the capital city. The church members, invitees and guests were joined by the resource speakers assigned to each church in the persons of Pastors: Elbert Kuhn, Hashik Kang, Kim Si Young, Suk Hee Han, Nak Hyung Kim, Seong Jun Byun, Chuang Shan Liang and Lee Jung Hwa. Messages delivered centered on having “Hope for the Bright Future”.

Dr. Jairyong Lee served as the speaker during the general assembly at UB Palace commencing on the evening of the 20th day of September, 2012 until the Sabbath day of September 22nd. Roughly, eight hundred sixty people were in attendance that were greatly blessed and inspired by the faithful service of 150 Mongolian Hishands Missionaries and the heavenly music rendered by both the Golden Angels and the Descendants singing groups.

Above all, the powerful sermons shared by Dr. Lee moved the crowed. On Thursday night, he talked about being born again- comparing our spiritual lives to the birth of a child; that unless we are born by the Spirit and by the love of Christ, our lives will never be anew. On Friday eve, Dr. Lee spoke about the ‘Greatest Historical Event’, citing the world historic tragedy and calamities unfolding before men as manifestation of Christ soon coming.  During the Sabbath, the message highlighted about making ‘The Best Choice of your Life’, which made reference to becoming a member of the family of God, the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

The incessant toil and prayers of all speakers from NSD, MMF(Mongolian Mission Field) leadership, 150 Mongolian Hishands Missionaries, about 50 Korean lay-people supporters for community service and Mongolian Church Pastors and leaders indeed paid off because 246 Bible seekers received the certificate and pin of graduation as they completed the course of “Voice of Prophecy Correspondence school” and 103 precious souls received baptism on the Sabbath afternoon- a history, on its own right, knowing that many of the Mongolians are ambivalent towards Christianity.

As envisioned by the leadership of Pastor Elbert Kuhn, MMF Director, we are all to be ‘United, Committed and Focused’ on God’s mission; the mission of the SDA Church to proclaim to all people the everlasting gospel in the context of the 3 angels messages of Revelation 14. We are to carry the torch of light; for the end time is at hand!

Publishing in Mongolia

A Call for Literature Evangelists
August 27, 2012
The Publishing Director of the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Dr. Howard Faigao, and the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) Publishing Director, Dr.Teru Fukui, came to Mongolia on August 14 and 15, 2012. They met with the Administration officers, Church Pastors and Church Leaders of the Mongolia Mission Field (MMF) concerning its drive to promote the publishing ministryworldwide through the active participation of literature evangelists. In Pastor Faigao’s presentation, emphasis was given on the importance of having a sense of mission and vision,as well as strong leadership. He also discussed formulation of publishing policies that will address in part the remuneration and benefits of the colporteurs, and having a  quality product- the printed books - which are worthy for selling and sharing.

During the consultation process in the Publishing Committee of MMF, it was agreed that the latter will create Mongolia Adventist Publishing Association. In doing so, each Church is to be represented by at least one literature evangelist. Administrators, on the other hand, committed to intensify the promotion in all areas of the Publishing ministry program and to enhance the accountability of existing books, sales proceeds, and the overall operation of the Publishing Association. Testimonies for the Church 8:89 states, “the printing and circulation of books and papers that contain the truth for this time are to be our work”. MMF surely embraces the commitment to bring people to Christ through literature ministry.

ENG: I had the privilege of visiting China in the first 10 days of September and see first hand what God has accomplished through His faithful and committed people . I will share some pics and a brief description in order to not jeopardize our lay leaders and pastors. I won’t say where it happens as well.

ENG: One thing that impressed me was to see that they spend most of their time in praying, reading, memorizing and applying the bible. There is no waste of time with anything that is not relevant for their spiritual growth.

ENG: This building used to be the Division headquarters before the actual regime took over. We still can see some furniture that belonged to the church. The building will be demolished to give place to a residential place.

ENG: China is covered by the High Speed train. Great way of traveling.

ENG: I believe what makes the difference in China is the commitment of lay members and leaders. Because of their great problems, they spend more time in prayer and communion.

ENG: A group of lay leader with some good influence in the society. At the center, two ladies who lead churches with more than 1.000 church members each. They are considered pastors in China and the government recognizes and authorizes them to do so.

ENG: Some pictures of some amazing SDA churches. It is impressive to see what our brother can accomplish in a place with a strong opression against those who follow christianity.

ENG: This brother was baptized in 1965 and started the work of God alone in his home state. He is extremely shy and due to his faith and openness to be used by the Holy Spirit, by his efforts, today there is 43 churches and 6.000 members there.

ENG: Jesus needs to be our role model in everything. Look at His eyes.

ENG: This is today's China. A country experiencing an agressive development.

POR: Algumas pessoas que nao esquecerei jamais.

ENG: Some people I will never forget.

POR: Culto jovem as 2 da tarde. Que tal?

ENG: Youth activity at 2:00. What about it?

That's why we never give up / Esta e a razao porque nunca desistimos

Portugues:

Studying Bible with Joshua
The result of violence because of her faith

English:
Hishgee first came to the church in Murun when she was sixteen years old. She was in Year 10 and getting very good grades but she just wanted to die.
“Why was I born?  What am I doing here? Why should I stay alive?  she was wondering.   Her father had died when she was only 4 years old.  He had been shot.  Her mother was now living with her third husband – an alcoholic who regularly beat Hishgee and her three brothers and sisters when he was drunk. They lived in constant fear of their stepfather.

When Her mother noticed that she had a Bible and was reading it, she also began giving her a very hard time and beating her very badly.
“What is this?” she questioned her, but Hishgee remained silent.  When her Dad found out he asked “Why are you going to church?”   “What kind of church is it?” her mum asked her.

That was in autumn but by January Hishgee could take no more of the beatings. Half naked, wearing only the scant clothing she was wearing inside the warmth of her ger she fled outside into the frigid temperatures of mid winter. With no jacket or shoes she arrived at the church almost frozen.

She was crying and said she could not stay with her family any longer because her step-father beat her so badly.  Jagaa, the church leader took her in and comforted her. Before that she had had no place to go and cry but then she felt much better and quieted down.

She came often to church and then stopped.  Later she again became very active in the church, happily helping to clean it, etc. but eventually she ran away from home and went to live with her grandmother 120 kilometers away in the countryside.

Her mother lied to the school manager.  She said that Hishgee was very happy at home and it was the church who influenced her to leave.

Hishgee called her mother from the countryside and also called the police who arrested her step-father and locked him up until he was sober. Her mother was furious and told Hishgee that she never wanted to see her again. Hishgee could not believe that her mother would cast her off so easily.  It broke her heart.

“I will never forget my mum and parents,” Hishgee said.

She remembered a story  told in Sabbath School in Murun about another girl who was beaten by her father for being a Christian and how eventually the whole family became Christians.   When she heard this story she could literally feel the pain of this girl being beaten and she almost cried.  “If only my parents could come to church,” she thought, “that would be so nice.”

She  really wanted to be baptized.  But that was impossible while she was so far from Murun - every day working hard bringing the water to wash the clothes and doing the cooking on her grandma’s property.  She longed for her friends to come and visit her and study the Bible with her.  But the 120 kilometre journey would cost would cost 12,000 tugruks each way (10 USD).  It made her sad. But she really loved God and had peace in her heart. She just wanted to help others.

Camp meeting

MMF Camp meeting - Revived by His Word
August 06, 2012
There was a successful camp meeting held by Mongolian Mission Field at the Ulaanbaatar public campsite from July 25 to 29, 2012. The number of attendees registered was about 340 and more than 500 people attended on Sabbath. It was the greatest and the most blessed meeting in the history of churches in Mongolia.

Pastor Si Young Kim, NSD PMM Coordinator, was a main speaker and his speeches focused on the theme “Revived by His Word: from descendants of Genghis Khan to descendants of Christ.” He emphasized soul-winning which is the greatest concern of the Lord. “God’s expectation and aspiration toward us is greater than Genghis Khan’s dream of conquering the world. If you give yourself to the Lord through bible study, prayer, and mission activities, He will call you to be His descendants, so that you can evangelize whole world as well as this vast Mongolia” said Pastor Kim.

The meeting contained many gracious programs of touching sermons, beautiful praises, small group activities, and fellowship. Attendees also enjoyed jogging every morning and interesting games such as soccer, basket ball, volley ball, and jumping rope at the sports festival in Friday afternoon.

In addition, there were many meaningful ceremonies during the meeting. Children’s dedication service, ordination for PMM Pastor NamWoong Jeong in Maranatha Church, and baptismal ceremony for 20 new heavenly families were held on July 28, Sabbath day.

We hope the mission spirit strongly carved in attendees’ hearts and minds can be aflame for God’s work. And also we give thanks to all pastors, staff, and participants as well as God who blessed this camp.
